Food

Breakfast is served in the lodgings. Participants share lunch and supper together in Estia Amariou. A welcome supper is served on the first evening of the week and the final meal is breakfast on day of departure. Each day, two participants will be asked to help our cook to prepare meals and clear up.

Fresh food is locally sourced and wherever possible organic. We use many vegetables from our garden which guests are welcome to visit. There is always a vegetarian option. Other special dietary requirements will be met, if possible. Wine and drinks are not included with the meals. Tea and coffee is provided.

There will be at least one meal in a local taverna.

Accommodation

Accommodations are simple and basic with two or three beds per room and shared bathroom facilities.  As Amari is one of the few villages in Crete that still has no hotels, participants will stay either in our Centre, Estia Amariou or in the homes of local families. Everyone will be responsible for keeping their room clean and tidy. Sheets and towels are provided and laundry facilities are available for use upon request.

Workshops and events will be held in the village School House or in Estia Amariou.

Workshops begin at 5pm on the first day and end at 11am on the last day.
